Terms of Service for Pebox

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pebox ("the app", "we", "us"), an offline-first mobile application that lets you access your Google and Microsoft accounts — mail, contacts, calendar, tasks, files, and notes — behind a single, unified interface.

By downloading, installing, or using Pebox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Pebox is a client application that runs entirely on your device. It connects directly to the official Google and Microsoft APIs using credentials you provide through each provider's standard OAuth sign-in. We do not operate any backend server, database, or analytics service that receives your account data, and we never see, collect, or store your email, contacts, files, or other content. 2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Pebox. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the right to access the Google and Microsoft accounts you connect.

3. Your accounts and credentials

• You are responsible for the Google and Microsoft accounts you sign in to and for complying with those providers' terms of service.
• You are responsible for keeping your device secure (e.g., screen lock, OS updates), as cached data and authentication tokens are stored locally on your device.
• You may add, switch, or remove accounts at any time. Removing an account or uninstalling the app deletes that account's cached data and stored tokens from your device.

Your use of Google and Microsoft services through Pebox is also subject to their terms:

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Pebox to:

• Access accounts or data you are not authorized to access.
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or the terms of Google, Microsoft, or any other service you connect.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app except to the extent permitted by applicable law or the app's open-source license, if any.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Google or Microsoft APIs.
• Use the app to send spam, malware, or otherwise abusive content.

5. Intellectual property

Pebox and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the developer's trademarks, logos, or branding. Your data and content remain yours; Pebox claims no ownership over the mail, contacts, files, or other content you access through it.

6. Third-party services

Pebox depends on services operated by Google and Microsoft. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, content, accuracy, or behavior. Changes to their APIs, policies, or availability may affect or interrupt features of the app without notice.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data will sync without delay or loss. You use the app at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP. Because Pebox stores data locally and operates without a backend, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups where appropriate.

9. Termination

You may stop using Pebox at any time by removing your accounts and uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app, or any of its features, at any time. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
